Abstract

Abstract
The Covid 19 period made students^ motivation and learning outcomes invisible. Particularly in learning Mathematics in class V. So the research was conducted to find out and analyze: 1) The effect of learning models on student learning outcomes- 2) The effect of motivation on learning outcomes- 3) The interaction between learning models and motivation on student learning outcomes. This type of quasi-experimental research with factorial design (2x2). The sample in the study of Class V students at SDN 060911 Medan Denai was 85 students. Data collection in this study was through learning achievement tests and motivational questionnaires. The results showed that: Hypothesis I was obtained (Fcount = 44.90> Ftable = 3.96) then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. In this way, it can be interpreted that the learning outcomes of students taught by the PjBL learning model are better than those taught by the DI model. Hypothesis II is obtained (Fcount = 7.46>Ftable = 3.96) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the learning outcomes of students who have high learning motivation are higher than the learning outcomes of students who have low learning motivation. Hypothesis III is obtained (Fcount = 4.11> Ftable = 3.96) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It was concluded that there was a significant interaction between learning models and motivation on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Orchid is a type of ornamental plant whose existence in the wild has decreased and is threatened with extinction, orchid has high aesthetic value and economic value.Cattleya orchids generally have larger flower sizes compared to other orchids, so Cattleya is nicknamed The Queen of Orchid, Cattleya sp. seeds do not have an endosperm as a food reserve, so they need nutrients to germinate to help seed growth. To preserve this plant, it needs to in vitro technology. Efforts to propagate plants using in vitro techniques (tissue culture) on selected cultivars by forming Protocorm-Like Body (PLB) or somatic embryos through somatic embryogenesis is a method capable of producing large quantities of orchid seeds quickly. The aim of this research was to determine the best interaction of growth regulator naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), benzyl amino purine (BAP) and interaction of both on growth induction of Protocorm-Like Body of Cattleya sp. The research method used a completely random design with various concentrations of naphthalene acetic acid (NAA: 0- 0.5- 1- 1.5 ppm) and benzyl amino purine concentration (BAP: 0- 0,5- 1 ppm). Parameters of observation of PLB formation time directly from explants, number of PLB and PLB color. The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially with ANAVA and color observation using the colorgrab application. The result showed there is significantly effect of NAA and BAP interaction on the time PLB was formed and there is no significant interaction on the number of PLB. PLB formed the fastest in week 3 with the media treatment MS + NAA 1.5 ppm + BAP 1 ppm, the highest number of PLB was found in MS + NAA 1.5 ppm + BAP 1 ppm which was 6,67 PLB. 3 PLB color variations were produced, with the best color being green.

Universitas Negeri Medan

Abstract

This research was initiated by the idea that learning mathematics cannot be separated from the application or relation of mathematics to human life, including culture. This is so that students can understand that mathematics is close to life and meaningful. Therefore, the study of the relationship between culture and mathematics is important and interesting. One of the cultures in Indonesia that can be used as an object of study is the Mandailing culture, especially the Markobar activities which mean speaking or giving speeches at traditional events. In Markobar, a parkobar (a person who gives a speech) usually uses poda lessons (a teaching containing advice). In the poda lessons that are often delivered by a parkobar, many mathematical concepts are found. The mathematical concepts contained in poda lessons in the Markobar Mandailing culture are very interesting things to study, which can ultimately be used as contexts and learning resources in learning mathematics, especially in schools where the majority of students are ethnic Mandailing. This research is an exploratory qualitative research on the ethnomathematics of poda lessons to Markobar in the Mandailing culture, using the Spradley approach. The results obtained are that there are several mathematical concepts in poda lessons to Markobar in Mandailing Culture, namely the concepts of equations, inequalities, subtraction and addition operations, numbers and numbers, curved lines or curves, examples and non-examples, the truth value of a proposition, infinity, induction mathematics, circles, ellipses, limits, folding symmetries, measurements, integers, fractions, and reflection. In addition, there is also one characteristic of mathematics, namely that mathematics material has a strict hierarchy.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning is a condition in which students actively participate in their own learning and is associated with students^ metacognitive, motivational, and behavioral characteristics. Self-regulated learning is one of the intrinsic characteristics of students that helps them maximize their learning ability, particularly in mathematics. To assist students in exploring their self-regulated learning, self-regulated learning questionnaires are required. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and examine the quality of the self-regulated learning questionnaire prepared in accordance with Zimmerman^s phases. The criteria of relevance, construction, and systematics, suitability of indicators in Zimmerman^s stages, language suitability, and gender bias are used to assess and analyze the quality of the self-regulated learning questionnaire. The Many-Facet Rasch Model was used to assess the quality of the self-regulated learning questionnaire. FACETS software was used to collect and code 270 data points. The findings revealed that all 50 statements in the self-regulated learning questionnaire were valid and reliable enough to be employed in field research. Other findings revealed that the self-efficacy subscale in the self-regulated learning questionnaire was the best. The linguistic appropriateness criterion is the most challenging assessment criterion for experts to evaluate and judge.
