Universitas Samudra, Langsa, Aceh-Indonesia

Abstract

The study analyzes the policy of standardizing physical education learning infrastructure at the elementary level in 66 elementary schools throughout Langsa City. The research aims to explore, encounter, and provide policy recommendations for infrastructure standardization to support active learning. The implication is that if every elementary school has the appropriate infrastructure, it will impact the quality of learning. The approach uses a qualitative policy research design. The research subjects are sixty-six elementary school principals, sixty-six physical education teachers, one head of department, and government representatives. The Collecting data are observation, documentation, interviews, and literature studies. Data analysis used data collection, data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and data validity by triangulation to find the validity of research data. The results of the research findings from 66 elementary schools in Langsa City showed only 5 schools that meet the standard, 61 schools are not eligible, and the category is not suitable for infrastructure in terms of minimum 4 aspects, namely the width of infrastructure field, building area, classrooms, and installations according to Permendiknas No 24 of 2007 about the standard of learning infrastructure at the elementary level. Of the four aspects, a minimum of 61 schools are located in a narrow area it is not feasible to build standardized classrooms and sports infrastructure, at least a multi-purpose field that can play badminton, volleyball, and mini soccer fields to support elementary school students learning activities. In contrast, 5 schools meet the minimum standards and are fair. The impact of the unsuitable learning infrastructure for physical education activities in 61 elementary schools was modified, so students were ineffective at learning. The level of elementary learning is fundamental for motor skills, so physical education learning is essential that supported by standard

Abstract

Research on the well-being of teachers and educators has lacked focus on physical education teachers. There is little research on the well-being of physical education teachers, including in Indonesia. At the same time, physical education teachers experience enormous challenges, especially during the covid 19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the influence of psychological capital and social support on the well-being of physical education teachers in Indonesia during the covid 19 pandemic. This study involved 248 physical education teachers who teach in urban area, both from public and private schools have a sample ratio of 87.9% male and 12.1% female. Well-being data collected using MHC-SF (Mental Health Continuum Short Form (MHC-SF) from Keyes with validity ranging from 0.477 to 0.723 and reliability r=0.899, psychological capital data using PCQ (Psychological Capital Questionnaire) from Lutan with validity ranging from 0.223 up to 0.49 and reliability r = 0.904, social support data using MSPSS (Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support) from Zimmet with validity ranging from 0.339 to 0.746 and reliability r = 0.885. The results showed that there was an influence between psychological capital on the well-being of a physical education teacher (p-value=0.000<0.05), as well as the influence of social support on the well-being of a physical education teacher (p-value=0.000<0.05). Based on the coefficient of determination, it is known that the well-being of physical education teachers is influenced by 30.9% by psychological capital and social support together, while other factors outside of this study influence 69.1%. In addition, it is known that the multiple linear regression equation is as follows: Y=13,972 + 0.355X1 + 0.183X2. This shows that there are still many opportunities in the future to conduct other research to find out other factors that affect the well-being of physical education teachers.

Universitas Negeri Jakarta

Abstract

Not all humans were born in perfect conditions and have a complete body, which means that there were still many physical imperfections possessed by certain people so that they became a form of deficiency or disability. One of the persons with disabilities was the mentally retarded who has a sensory disability so that he experiences obstacles or disturbances in his sense of hearing. Deaf children do not have differences in intelligence, but have differences on the communication side which tends to be visual rather than verbal. This becomes an obstacle for deaf swimmers when competing in swimming. Because during competitions, deaf swimmers often make mistakes by jumping before the whistle was sounded or jumping into the water too late when the whistle was sounded. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine whether deaf swimmers need a swimming start aid. The research method used was descriptive method with survey technique. The population and samples used were deaf athletes in DKI Jakarta, amounting to 20 people. The research instrument used was a questionnaire to analyze the need for a starting tool for deaf swimmers by having three indicators as a decision maker whether deaf swimmers need a swimming start aid. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis technique. The results showed that deaf swimmers really needed a tool when starting swimming. Therefore, this research was a basic research to be developed further in making swimming start aids for deaf swimmers who are in dire need when they start swimming.

UNJ, UI

Abstract

The purpose of the Study was to investigate the correlation of body mass index to covid-19 symptoms and the correlation of exercise frequency to covid-19 symptoms. The study used a descriptive method with correlation techniques to search for a correlation between two or more variables. The results of research and data processing that had been carried out obtained a correlation coefficient value of -0.372 between the body mass index and the symptoms of covid-19. Calculation of significance with the t-test obtained a value t-count of 2.30 and a value t table (&#945- 0.05) of 1.69, and since the t-count was greater than the t-table, therefore the correlation was significant. The correlation coefficient between the frequency of exercise and covid-19 symptoms was 0.340. The calculation of significance with the t-test obtained a value of t-count 2.08 and t table (&#945- 0.05) 1.69, and since the t-count is greater than the t-table, the correlation is significant. Based on the calculation of the research data, it was concluded that there was a negative and significant correlation between body mass index and covid-19 symptoms. The higher the body mass index the lower the symptom value or the more severe symptoms. There was a positive and significant relationship between the frequency of exercise and the symptoms of covid 19. The higher the frequency of exercise the value of symptoms the higher or the milder symptoms were even asymptomatic.

Abstract

The composition of the human body is composed of more than 70 percent in the form of fluids which are divided into organs such as the brain, lungs, kidneys, muscles and bones. Physical activity carried out at moderate intensity results in changes in body temperature causing body effects, one of which is a decrease in endurance. Taekwondo athletes when competing with a duration of 90 seconds result in an increase in body temperature, marked by sweating and dehydration. In these conditions, athletes must restore and maintain body condition to complete a maximum of 3 rounds of competition. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving alkaline and normal fluids on the endurance of male athletes aged 15-17 years. This study used a cross sectional approach with a pre_test, post_test control group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The sample in this study was the male junior Taekwondo kyorugi athlete Purbalingga with a total of 24 athletes. The total administration of liquid pH8 was 1800 ml and pH7 was 1800 ml which was divided into 600 ml 4 hours before exercise, 600 ml during exercise and 600 ml 15 minutes after exercise. Based on the results of the study, the average value of the paired sample t test of the experimental group pH 8 showed that the pre-test treatment was 72.83 and post-test was 76.58. Meanwhile, in the control group, pH 7 showed that the pre-test control was 72.83 and the post-test was 69.92 with a significance value in the treatment group of 0.029 and 0.145 in the control group. The independent value of the treatment group was 0.026 and the control group was 0.027. The treatment group with alkaline water pH 8 had an effect on the endurance of Taekwondo athletes compared to normal pH.
