Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the Body Mass Index (BMI) (weight/stature2) as a proxy for percent body fat (%BF) and its relationship with fat-free mass (FFM). Multivariate analysis of variance and partial correlations were used to investigate the relations between BMI, %BF, and FFM for 54 male and 6 female physical education teachers with ranging in age from 26 to 62 years. Data were analyzed by using multiple logistic regression and cross tab. Sensitivity/specificity studies employed BMI cut-offs of 28 kg/m2 in males and 26 kg/m2 in females, and %BF cut-offs of 25% in males and 33% in females. When obesity was assessed by %BF, BMI properly identified around 30% of obese males and 8.3% of obese females. BMI is an unreliable indicator of obesity. According to the results of Receiver Operator Characteristic (ROC) studies utilizing %BF and total body fat, a BMI of 25 kg/m2 in males and 23 kg/m2 in females is a diagnostic screening cut-off for obesity.

Abstract
Injury is an event that comes suddenly both during daily activities and during sports. Every time a match is played, NPC athletes often suffer severe and minor injuries, so players, coaches, and the medical team need the knowledge to take injury prevention measures. On this basis, the researchers wanted to know what injuries might occur to the paralympic athletes at NPC DKI Jakarta and the causes of these injuries. The study aimed to determine the types of injuries and their treatment experienced by NPC DKI Jakarta athletes. The subjects of this study were 32 athletes (male = 25, and female = 7), with males around the age of 23+-10.04 and females 19+-8.92 years. The method in this study is descriptive by using a questionnaire about the history of injury, type of injury, injury factors, and injury management for NPC DKI Jakarta athletes. Data analysis is described in numbers and percentages. The results of this study reported that DKI Jakarta NPC athletes suffered injuries to the lower limbs by 53,1%, the most frequent type of injury was sprains/twists at 39%, and the most frequent cause of injury was falling/hit by objects by 40,6%, the most frequent handling performed by athletes when an injury occurs is by applying cold compresses by 75%.

This study aimed to determine the physical condition of breaststroke swimming athletes under 16 years with visual impairment in DKI Jakarta. The method used is an experimental research method by conducting tests and measuring physical conditions. The population of this study is the breaststroke swimming athlete with visual impairment, totaling 7 people, all of whom are male. The sampling technique used is the total sampling technique, where the population is used as a sample. Physical conditions measured consist of flexibility, explosive power, strength, and speed. From the results of data processing, the average flexibility (shoulder) is 116.29cm- explosive power (with medicine ball) is 143.43cm- strength (push) of 4.07kg, strength (pull) of 4.93kg- strength (push up) is much as 24.29 times- strength (sit-up) as much as 38.57 times and speed 5.27 minutes.

COMPARISON BETWEEN MFR TECHNIQUE AND MANUAL THERAPY FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF PLANTER FASCIITIS A RANDOMIZED CONTROL TRIAL Dr. Hina Saeed
Iqra University North Campus
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Plantar fasciitis (PF) is the most common cause of inferior heel pain. There are studies reporting that PF accounts for 8 to 15% of foot complaints in non - athletic and athletic peoples. The prevalence in athletes is reported to be 21.7%, irrelevant to the sports played. The aim of this study was to assess the appropriate management technique for plantar fasciitis. 30 participants were randomly divided in two groups, to be treated with either Myofacial Release (MFR) or Manual therapy. The criteria for induction was the participants present with plantar faciitis having complete a standard assessment and finished a self-report questionnaire including the Foot Function Index (FFI), and the numerical pain rating scale. Both treatments were given multiple times week by week to about a month (weeks 1- 4), with at least a 1-daygap between the 2 sessions- the time of every treatment session was 30 minutes. Both the interventions were just given to the affected side. Result measures were noted at Week 1 (pre-test score), Week 4 (post-test score), and follow-up at Week 12 after randomization. Both the groups show significant results, group A and B both shows remarkable reduction in pain and improve quality of life of patient. MFR and manual therapy both are effective in the treatment options for the management of planter fasciitis.
