Abstract

Purposes:This paper is to learn about the status quo of physical activity level and the level mental health in adolescents, to construct a model of physical activity to promote mental health for adolescents, and to provide theoretical guidance for adolescent physical and mental health promotion.
Methods: The convenient random cluster sampling method was adopted, and the data were obtained by the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Old Children, General Self-Efficacy Scale and Chinese Middle School Student Mental Health Scale, respectively. IBM SPSS 23.0 and IBM SPSS AMOS 26.0 were used.
Results: The PAL was 2.49, SD was 437 minutes per day, MH abnormal rate was 27.9% among Chinese adolescents .The PAL of junior high school students is higher than that of high school students, and the PAL of graduates is lower than that of non-graduates. The MHL of junior high school students gradually decreased with the increase of grade, and the MHL of senior high school students gradually increased with the increase of grade.
Conclusion:The PAL is low, MH problems are serious, and sleep time deprived was severely among Chinese adolescents. The model of PA promote MH for adolescents is established, GSE and SD play an incomplete mediating role in the indirect effect of PA in promoting MH. It was found that SD played a mediating effect in the model of PA promote MH for adolescents etc.
