Increased Flexibility Through the Propioceptive Neomuscular Facilitation (PNF) Method for Athletes at the Tapak Suci College of Pencak Silat in Bekasi City Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya, East Jakarta, 13220 Abstract Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of giving PNF stretching treatment to the flexibility ability of the athletes of the Tapak Suci Pencak Silat College, Bekasi City. This study uses the ^two groups pre-test-post-test design^ method. The population in this study was the Athletes of the Tapak Suci College of Pencak Silat in Bekasi City, totaling 60 people. In this study, the sample will be divided into 2 groups, namely the control group and the experimental group, each of which in 1 group there are 30 athletes. In drawing samples to be used as research objects, the researchers used a simple random sampling technique, because the population was considered homogeneous. The data collection technique was carried out by testing, which was carried out 2 times, namely before (pre-test) and after being given treatment (post-test). The instrument was carried out with tests and measurements of sit and reach tests, static flexibility tests-ankle, trunk and neck, static flexibility tests-shoulder and wrist, and front splits. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) There is an effect of stretching PNF on increasing the flexibility ability of the athletes of the Tapak Suci pencak silat college in Bekasi City in the experimental class and control class, seen from the significance value of each test, which is 0.000 < 0.05, (2) Based on the comparison pre test and post test experimental and control classes, it can be concluded that the experimental class has improved much better than the control class, namely the experimental class has a total number of all tests on the pretest of 44.8 and the total number of all tests on the posttest is 49 ,7, so that there was an increase of 5.44. While the total number of all tests in the control class pretest is 5.6 and the total number of all tests in the control class posttest is 5.79 Keywords: Stretching PNF, Fleksibilitas, Pencak Silat,Tapak Suci Topic: Physical activity, exercise, fitness, and wellbeing |
