Abstract
The diaphragm gas meter is a volumetric measuring device commonly used to measure household gas flow at low flow rates. Its reliability depends on measurement accuracy and stability. The Metrology Management Unit of DKI Jakarta is responsible for its testing. This report presents internship research on the accuracy and repeatability of the G1.6 gas meter at low flow rates, using the BPG SONICAL SN G4 device and CalWin SONICAL software at four flow points: 0.016, 0.025, 0.040, and 0.500 cubic meters per hour. Nine units were tested with three repetitions at each point. Results showed that at 0.016, many units displayed under-reading beyond the 3 percent tolerance limit, and measurement stability decreased at lower flow rates. These findings support the development of better calibration procedures and improved accuracy in legal metrology and residential gas services.
