Abstract
Nootebook is one of the technological devices that can help students, students both to improve skills or for human work in processing other data. Laptops that have many types or types make it difficult for buyers to make their choices. Consideration of price, well-known brands, and specifications is the most important thing. A decision support system (SPK) is the right system to use in laptop selection because of its very complex calculation capabilities. With this ability, SPK can provide more precise decision recommendations. In this study, researchers used 12 criteria in laptop selection which are laptop selection criteria with more specific considerations in order to provide the best recommendations. This system is designed with the specification of criteria n assessment weights as accurately as possible. Rank Order Centroid (ROC) is a weighting technique used to determine the weight value of the criteria to be used in the decision support system. The EDAS method is one of the methods in SPK that can be used to determine laptop selection. The application of ROC to the EDAS method is used to create a better decision support system with structured weight values. This study produces the value of the results of the first ranked laptop test data, namely the Hp 14s-DQ5001TU laptop with an acore appraisal value of 0.9708 with a total of 37 laptops from the data obtained.
