Abstract
Roads are land transportation infrastructure, crossing routes for people and vehicles. Roads play an important role, especially in terms of equitable development across regions, equal distribution of development results, and strengthening national defense and security in the context of achieving national development. Kota Langsa is also developing its tourism sector, including in the West Langsa Barat area. The aim of this research is to depict topographic maps and road networks in West Langsa Barat using GIS, knowing the coordinates of road damage, along with photos of damage and types of road damage in West Langsa Barat. This research method is a descriptive method, namely processing data by arranging and sorting data consisting of notes in the field. This data processing uses educational licensed ArcGIS software, in processing the data into ArcGIS 10.8. Based on the results of topographic map processing in West Langsa Barat using DEMNAS elevation data (Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and National Bathymetry) with 5 meter intervals, there are 2 contour lines in West Langsa Barat. The black line is 5 meters high while the red line is 10 meters high. The highest point obtained based on the contour of the land was 10 meters in West Langsa Barat. Based on the research results, there were 25 points of road damage on roads in West Langsa Barat. This road damage is divided into 2 parts, namely collector roads and arterial roads. On the collector road there are 22 points of damage, the road damage that occurs includes longitudinal cracks, potholes, block cracks, elimination and transverse cracks. Meanwhile, on the arterial road there were 3 points of road damage. The road damage that occurred included crocodile skin cracks and longitudinal cracks.
