Reproductive performance of local Cattle in East Aceh Regency, Aceh Kiagus Muhammad Zain Basriwijaya, Hanisah, Thursina Mahyuddin

Abstract
This survey study was carried out to observe the reproductive performance of local Cattlees in East Aceh Regency, West Aceh Province, Indonesia. Sixty Cattlees were chosen as the objects of observation for service per conception (S/C), postpartum oestrus (PPO) and calving interval (CI). The data obtained were analysed descriptively. The results showed that S/C was 1.87, PPO was 3 months or more, and CI was 15 months or more. It can be concluded that reproductive performance of female Cattlees in East Aceh Regency was quite low, and need to be increased by improving the rearing management. -
