Abstract

Abstract. Public Health Center (Puskesmas) in Indonesian, is the government-onwed primary health service center that plays the role of the frontline health care provider for health development. In order to play its crucial functions, qualified health human resources are required to implement optimal and quality services. To produce human resources with good performance, there are several factors that must be considered such as religiosity and motivation. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of Islamic religiosity and motivation on the performance of health workers in Puskesmas. The design of this study uses an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects of this study are health workers at Puskesmas Kalangsari, Karawang Regency in 2022, namely 30 respondents who were selected through a total sampling technique using the Slovin formula. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The result showed that religiosity affects the performance of health workers positively and significantly with a total influence of 61.8%. Motivation affects the performance of health workers positively and significantly with a total influence of 34.6%. Religiosity and motivation simultaneously affected the performance of health workers with a total influence of 96.3%. This can be explained as follows, health workers who have high Islmaic religiosity tend to be motivated by the spiritual values of Islam, which encourage dedication, work ethics and better stress management.. All these factors contribute to improving the performance of health workers at the Health Center.
