Abstract
This study aims to develop teaching materials based on the case method for chemistry class XI even semester that are valid and suitable for use in learning. This research is a development research. The analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study are teaching materials based on the case method which have been developed based on the designs that have been designed. According to a review of three material experts, the average value of the four aspects according to the National Education Standards Agency is in the valid category without needing revision (3.64) and according to a review of five chemistry teachers, the average value of the four aspects is considered in the valid category without revision (3.71). Thus it can be concluded that the teaching materials based on the case method are suitable for use in the learning process.
