Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused teaching and learning activities to be carried out online, resulting in various problems. The teaching materials used in schools were not in accordance with the needs of students during online class and were not be able to help most of students to understand the concept of chemistry particularly molecular shapes and interactions between molecules. This study aimed to determine the effect of using an e-worksheet based on PBL-MR to improve students^ concept understanding in chemistry during online class. The research design used pre-experiment one group pretest-posttest. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and obtained one sample class, namely X IPA IT MAN 1 Pekanbaru with total 31 students. The sample was administered a pretest before using the e-worksheet and they were given a posttest after using it. The results showed that concept understanding of students before treatment obtained average percentage of 39% and after treatment, their concept understanding increased to 75%. The Wilcoxon test on concept understanding data got a significance value of 0.000 (sig <0.05), so it can be stated that there was significant difference from the application of e-worksheet to concept understanding of students before and after treatment. It means that e-worksheet has effect on their concept understanding in chemistry during online class.
