Digital Transformation for Building Resilient Academic Library Ecosystems: A Systematic Literature Review a) Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara Abstract Digital transformation has become a strategic priority for academic libraries in building resilient library and information ecosystems that support education, research, and community services. However, existing studies remain fragmented and often focus on specific technologies or institutional contexts, limiting a comprehensive understanding of the factors that drive successful digital transformation. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA framework to synthesize the existing literature on digital transformation in academic libraries. The selected studies were analyzed using thematic synthesis to identify recurring themes related to drivers, barriers, and outcomes. The findings reveal that technological advancement, leadership support, institutional commitment, librarians^ digital competencies, and evolving user needs are the primary drivers of digital transformation. In contrast, limited funding, inadequate technological infrastructure, organizational resistance, and digital skills gaps remain significant barriers. The review also demonstrates that digital transformation strengthens resilient library ecosystems by enhancing service innovation, improving access to information resources, increasing operational efficiency, and supporting institutional adaptability. These findings provide theoretical and practical insights for developing sustainable digital transformation strategies that foster adaptive and resilient academic library ecosystems.
