Mainstream historical recording often neglects the narratives of minority groups, indigenous peoples, and vulnerable communities, creating gaps in the nation^s collective memory. This study examines the urgency of community archiving as an instrument of social inclusion in the modern archival information ecosystem. Using qualitative methods, including a literature study approach and spatial analysis of the information ecosystem, this article maps the barriers faced by marginalized groups in documenting and accessing their own history. The results show that rigid archival standardization and the dominance of elite narratives are the main factors in information exclusion. Information is accessible only to those with technological and other means. As a solution, this study proposes a participatory information ecosystem model that integrates oral traditions, community-based digitization, and collaboration between formal archival institutions and grassroots communities. This democratization of archives not only rescues endangered collective memory but also restores the right to information and social identity for marginalized groups.
