Abstract
In this article we provide a systematic review of the vast but diverse and fragmented literature on digital transformation (DT), with the aim of clarifying the boundary conditions for understanding the phenomenon from a Digital Transformation perspective on the application of electronic medical records to organizational commitment in the Medical Recording & Health Information profession. Research method: examines journals with criteria, namely research that has been published, at least comes from accredited journals, and journals related to Digital Transformation. Strategy: using secondary data obtained not from direct observation but from the results of research conducted by previous researchers. Research results: Based on the 15 researched articles a multidimensional framework is obtained that synthesizes what is known about DT and distinguishes two important thematic patterns: DT moves companies towards malleable organizational designs that enable continuous adaptation, and this step is embedded and driven by the digital business ecosystem . From these two patterns, we derive four perspectives on the DT phenomenon: technological impact, compartmentalized adaptation, systemic shift, and holistic coevolution. Linking the findings and interpretations to existing work, it was found that the nature of DT is only partially covered by conventional frameworks of organizational commitment. Suggestions for further research focus on changing work paradigms, data privacy security, employee skills and competencies, social impact, system integration, risk management and law enforcement
