The Determinant of Environmental Performance: Employee Green Behavior as Mediating Variable Magister Management - Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis - Universitas Indonesia Abstract Currently, environmental problems have become an issue refers to sustainability. Environmental issues such as the increase of earth temperature and climate change become great concern these days. Therefore, hospital industry as vital industry are pick up various environmental protection and developing green strategies, such as green human resource management (GHRM). Despite the growth of research in this area, the determinants and outcome of hospital^s employees^ green behavior are still need for further study. In responding to that, this study support to the literature by inquire the determinants and outcomes of GHRM and employees^ green behavior (EGB) and together impact to environmental performance of hospital. This research used quantitative research design, the data was collected using online questionnaire from 166 medic and non-medic employees of hospital in Indonesia and analyzed using the SPSS and AMOS. The findings confirm that Green Employee Involvement (GEI) as one from three part of GHRM practices had a significant impact on EGB, meanwhile Green Competence Building (GCB) and Green Motivation Enhancing (GME) from GHRM practice confirmed had not significant impact on EGB. Furthermore, EGB had a significant relationship with environmental performance. For mediating analysis, the study confirmed that EGB had significant role as mediating role between GEI on environmental performance. This study highlighting the critical role of hospital employees environmentally friendly behavior for enhancing hospital^s environmental performance.
