A Literature Review: The Effect of Work Motivation and Job Satisfaction on Employee Performance mediated by Organizational Commitment a) Doctoral Student, Department of Management, Jakarta State University Abstract This comprehensive literature review explores the role of work motivation and job satisfaction, mediated by organizational commitment, in influencing employee performance. The method used is a literature review of journal papers and textbooks published in 2015-2023. This research aims to build a conceptual framework and hypotheses of the influence between variables to be used in further research. This study includes gap analysis and map reading studies from leading scientific journal articles and other literature. This research found that work motivation positively and significantly affects job satisfaction. Work motivation and job satisfaction positively and significantly affect organizational commitment. Work motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment positively and significantly impact employee performance. And organizational commitment can also mediate work motivation and satisfaction in influencing employee performance. The conceptual framework resulting from this literature review can be carried out for further research by taking quantitative data samples from the field to determine the effect of motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance in a company mediated by organizational commitment.
