Abstract

In the implementation of education, government policies cannot be avoided. Therefore, the aim of this research is to analyze education policies and management related to assessment standards in elementary schools based on Ministerial Regulation No. 23 of 2016 regarding assessment standards. The research method used is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach. Based on Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 23 of 2016, educational assessment standards include objectives, benefits, principles, mechanisms, procedures, and assessment instruments of student learning outcomes, which are used as the basis for assessing student learning outcomes in basic education. The conclusion of this research is that basic education assessment is conducted by educators, educational units, and the government, and the aspects assessed include attitudes, knowledge, and skills.
