Abstract
The low cultural literacy ability of elementary school students in Madura has an impact on students^ understanding of local culture which is very lacking. In fact, the integration of local potential into learning can improve students^ character in understanding local culture getting stronger. Therefore, teacher innovation and creativity in developing contemporary learning designs that are flexible, adaptive to science and technology developments, and integrate local regional culture, are urgently needed in learning in elementary schools.
Madura Island, especially Sumenep Regency has a variety of local wisdom. The local cultural wisdom values of the Madurese people can be seen in the activities of Roka^ Tase, karapan sapi and tanean lanjhang. Where the value of this local wisdom is manifested in daily activities, and has the potential to be recognized by elementary school students through the use of local tourism in learning. Integration of Sumenep local cultural values in thematic learning can be carried out by educators, through the application of Sumenep Local Culture-based learning. This learning design is packaged with several concepts including: (1). Presenting displays of local wisdom When learning in the classroom, it is designed with products/materials of various types of local wisdom through interactive digital and multimedia teaching materials (2) Local culture information: learning about information on types of traditions and local culture in Madura that can be accessed via android. This is a form of new strategic innovation in introducing and optimizing Madura local wisdom to students, digitally as a form of contemporary digital era learning design in elementary schools.
The research subjects in this study were 5th grade students at SDN Rubaru, Sumenep Regency. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observations, and tests. This type of research is development research with the Define, Design, Development and Disiminate stages. Based on the research results, the digital era learning design consisting of e-module teaching materials and interactive multimedia is valid, practical and effective for use in elementary schools. Digital contemporary learning design based on Madurese local culture in the digital era that integrates local culture into learning. The learning design consists of several components including learning planning, digital teaching materials, and Android-based interactive multimedia. Through this learning design, it is expected to be able to improve students^ cultural literacy skills and students^ digital use of technology in accordance with the demands of 21st century learning.
