Abstract
The National Movement for Mental Revolution (GNRM) aims to strengthen the character of students in educational units through the ability of students to process their feelings, hearts, minds, and bodies through collaboration between family, education, and society. Elementary school is an educational institution that provides basic education by instilling discipline and habits to instill the character to be formed. In character education in schools, all components (stakeholders) must be involved, including the components of education itself, namely curriculum content, learning and assessment processes, quality of relations, handling or management of subjects, school management, implementation of activities, empowering infrastructure, financing, and the work ethic of all residents and the school environment. The government launched an honesty canteen program as a medium for teaching moral values to students through real action. SDN Kawung Luwuk is an elementary school that has implemented an honesty canteen program as an embodiment of an environment capable of developing honest character in students by providing healthy snacks based on safety and presentation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method approach to understand the phenomena experienced by research subjects by describing data in written form and language based on observations. The results of the study show that the implementation of the school^s vision and mission in the honesty canteen program is led by the school principal by involving teachers on pickets and designing a curriculum with teacher competence that meets existing standards. The role of the teacher in providing exemplary examples to students turns out to have a good influence on having students who are willing to take responsibility and students already have a positive competitive spirit. In addition, children^s learning motivation is also influenced by the connections between students and teachers based on a disciplinary perspective, starting from submitting assignments on time, and arriving at school on time. The implementation of the honesty canteen was able to show that schools could continue to increase student learning motivation and create a positive and quality educational environment supported by the school committee^s commitment to helping make the smallest environment with character and principle.
