STRATEGIES TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION THROUGH MANAGEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Abstract

The gap that occurs in public schools and private schools, especially in the completeness of facilities and infrastructure to support the continuity of education in schools, is one of the factors that can affect the quality of education. Therefore, it is necessary to have a strategy for managing all educational facilities and infrastructure so that schools can continue to improve the quality of education. This study aims to determine how the management of facilities and infrastructure at MTs Assa^adah East Jakarta as one of the strategies to improve the quality of education. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method, data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the management of facilities and infrastructure has been going on quite well, starting from: 1) planning of facilities and infrastructure through evaluation, needs analysis, financial analysis, and priority analysis- 2) provision of facilities and infrastructure involving the school treasurer with the approval of the principal and vice principal of facilities and infrastructure- 3) data collection of facilities and infrastructure carried out by recording and numbering all inventory of facilities and infrastructure- 4) maintenance and supervision of facilities and infrastructure involving the responsibility of all school members- and 5) elimination of facilities and infrastructure carried out every five years involving the principal, vice principal of facilities and infrastructure, and representatives of the local police.
