Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of video-assisted inquiry based learning (IBL) in science subject on scientific attitudes of fifth grade elementary school students. This study used a quasi-experimental method with pretest-postest control group design and saturated samples. The sample determination using Side Random technique, where the VA class was selected as the experimental class, namely class that was treated using video-assisted IBL and VB as the control class. This research was conducted in one of the elementary school in Bekasi City for the 2021/2022 academic year. This study used an essay test instrument consisting of 12 questions referring to indicator of scientific attitude question instrument referring to indicator of scientific attitude ability.
The results of the analysis of the experimental class obtained a pretest posttest gain of 0.75 which included the high category gain criteria and the control class obtained a gain of 0.33 which included the medium category gain criteria. The results of the T test for differences in the ability of scientific attitudes obtained the value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.050. This means that there is a significant difference between the ability of the scientific attitude of the experimental class and the control class in science learning subject of animal and human locomotion and maintaining the health of the human locomotor in class V elementary school students in Bekasi City.
