Improving Critical Thinking Skills of Elementary School Students Through the STEM-PjBL Approach integrated with material on the transformation of objects Universitas Negeri Jakarta Abstract This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students in learning natural science material changes in the shape of objects through the STEM-PjBL learning approach. Meaningful learning is designed so that students are able to understand teaching materials, are able to link new knowledge with previous knowledge in learning experiences. This research will be conducted in class V of Sudimara 4 Elementary School, Tengerang City, Banten province, Indonesia. This is a qualitative research using educational experiments in intervening learning approach models that are carried out where the researcher acts as a teacher. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, reflective journals and tests. In group learning students are directly involved in the five stages of learning, namely reflection, research, finding, applying and communicating. Students are interested and challenged to learn how to make a simple humidifier from the tools available around them. The researcher predicts that the research that will be carried out will be able to develop students^ critical thinking, solve problems, relate theory to real life, and improve understanding of concepts related to the project being worked on.
