The Role of KIP-K Students in Managing Scholarship Finances Universitas Negeri Jakarta Abstract Education is one of the solutions to improving the community^s economy, but how to take part in education if the community is not economically capable? The Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) is a breakthrough for people who want to continue their education limitations but sadly Secretary General Suharti said that 1,500 KIP-K recipients dropped out of school. Researchers believe that one of the dropping out of school is the difficulty of students in managing the finances of the scholarship funds. Research with qualitative methods, then collect data with questionnaires (open interviews), interviews, and literature studies. Respondents are KIP-K scholarship recipient students at a private university in Bekasi. The result of this research is Rp. 5,700,000/semester received by KIP-K recipient students and the results of the questionnaire collected by 20 respondents said that KIP -K program from the government was very helpful and useful. Campus monitoring was organized by making a group WhatsApp to convey all information regarding the KIP-K scholarship. Results showed that 95% of students only rely on scholarship funds so their role needs to be understood by students with their limited funds in managing finances needs to be given serious attention to achieve all study needs. Then the researcher realized that this research was less comprehensive due to time constraints, but the researcher was sure that this did not reduce the essence of the research itself.
