Sekolah Swasta Favorite Orangtua Millenial? UNIVERSITAS NEGERI JAKARTA Abstract This research is based on public schools in Lendah District, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, which on average have no more than 100 students from grades 1 to 6. This is because parents choose to enroll their children in private schools that are far from their homes. The aim of this study is to analyze the decision-making process of parents in Lendah District regarding sending their children to private schools compared to public schools. The research adopts a qualitative approach using a Case Study method. The techniques employed include observation and interviews. The subjects of this study are parents of students attending private schools who reside in Lendah District, Kulon Progo. The findings of this research indicate that a group of parents do not mind paying high education costs. Regardless of whether the school is public or private, the quality of education and understanding of educational costs, as well as the educational facilities, are the most influential factors in the decision-making process of parents in Lendah District, Kulon Progo, when choosing a school.
