Abstract

One of the physical activities that can be done at home during the COVID-19 pandemic is gymnastics. Activities needed so that the body can move freely is with joint flexibility associated with flexibility and adequate rest. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of aerobic exercise on improving sleep quality and flexibility in overweight women in the era of the covid-19 pandemic in the North Purwokerto area. The research design used a single group experimental pre and post test design. This study involved 47 correspondents aged 25-55 years in North Purwokerto. The sleep quality instrument uses the Pitssburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire, and flexibility uses the sit and reach test tool. Data collection time for 7 weeks with 2 meetings. The results of the calculation of the paired t-test show a probability (p) of 0.000 which is significant at the 0.01 level. The results of the PSQI t-test (13.858) are greater than the t-table and flexibility-t-test results (-12.786) so that aerobic exercise is effective in improving sleep quality and flexibility in overweight women in Purwokerto.
