Analysis of Community Sports in the South City Area, Tangerang Selatan

Abstract

Every Sunday, the activities of community sports have begun to increase since the Covid-19 Pandemic subsided. It has the potential to produce human resources who have good fitness. This research is a descriptive method with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation with the study aims to know the activities of community sports in the South City Area, Tangerang Selatan. The participants of this study amounted to 50 people with a percentage: 60% male and 40% female. For age, as many as 38% of respondents aged 10-20 years, followed by respondents aged 21-30 years as much as 36%, the rest at the age of 31-40 years 20%, 41-50 years 6%. Profession of respondents as many as 45% of respondents as students, followed by 30% of employees, 15% as entrepreneurs, 6% of civil servants (ASN/TNI/POLRI) and 4% do not work. The frequency of visits to this area is 54% of the people visiting South City at least once a week, 30% at least every 2 weeks, 10% at least once every 3 weeks and 6% visiting indefinitely. The most popular sports are gymnastics 42%, outdoor badminton 26%, jogging 14%, and healthy walking 8%. Even so, there are 10% of visitors who come just to walk around this area while having snacks at the Kali lima traders in this area. They also have several motivating factors to come to this area, namely physical factors, psychological factors, relationship factors or family member relationships, home atmosphere factors, socio-economic conditions and leisure activities
