Abstract
The aim of this paper is to propose an alternative financing model in the form of a crowdfunding platform for Muhammadiyah waqf land in dealing with financial problems. In general, the study analyses the inefficiency of Muhammadiyah waqf land management in Indonesia due to the problem of financing waqf for social business programs
. This research is a qualitative study that applies the atlas.ti to examine the literature review, observation, and in-depth interview with the central board Muhammadiyah
. The findings indicate this study provides information and input for the management of Muhammadiyah waqf land for social business through a crowdfunding platform. Through this model, waqf land can be more useful in solving the economic and social problems of the people.
For fundraising, Muhammadiyah waqf can use crowdfunding and develop the concept of social-business management. Several Muhammadiyah institutions have applied the social business concept, such as Muhammadiyah University of Malang, Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University, Malang Aisyiyah Islamic Hospital, etc.
