Abstract
These days, the issue of food security has become a central issue since food production is unable to keep up with the development of the population growth rate. By 2050, the world population is projected to reach about 10 billion. As one of the important instruments of Islamic economics, Waqf began to be perceived by various parties. Waqf has great potential to be a solution to various problems, including food security. This study aims to provide quantitative information about the development of research on food security and waqf. In total, there are 1984 documents, including journal articles, conference papers, and books that have been indexed by Scopus, and published in 2021 and 2022. This study uses bibliometric analysis using R Studio with Biblioshiny and Microsoft Excel as data analysis and synthesis tools. It also identifies the relationship between food security and waqf. The results of the study indicate that there is a match between waqf and food security, where waqf supports food security. Furthermore, the combination of cash waqf and land waqf is a potential instrument for achieving food security in a region.
