Industrial revolution 4.0 requires mastering 21st century skills. Mastery of science and technology is related to mastery of students^ scientific literacy in solving problems, but the application of scientific literacy to questions is still low, which is primary for students in solving problems. This study aimed to analyze aspects of competence and knowledge of scientific literacy in students^ final year science assessment. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The data analysis technique uses Miles & Huberman (2014) on all samples of the 2020/2021 final semester assessment at one of the junior high schools in Sukoharjo, Central Java. The results showed that the final even semester assessment questions had an average percentage of competence and knowledge aspects for each grade 7 and 8 scores above 65%. However, the results of the analysis on each question made by the science teacher team have not fully implemented aspects of competence and knowledge of scientific literacy, especially in grade 7 questions, by getting a score less than grade 8. This research is expected to evaluate teachers and schools to improve the quality of learning and make materials that teach scientific literacy.
