Abstract

Globalization and changing labor market make English mastery a necessity. Universities in Indonesia provide English Learning as a compulsory subject to prepare their students to meet labor market demand. Although online learning used to be perceived as an adaptation to Covid-19 pandemic, it is now seen as a way of learning, even when everything is getting back to normal. Online learning can reach more students and is considered as effective as face-to-face learning for foreign language learning, therefore the effect of online learning on students^ learning performance is interesting to examine. The factors of online learning success are online learning adoption and attitude towards online learning. The objective of the research is to see whether these factors affect academic performance. The result shows that online learning adoption and attitude towards online learning positively affect learning performance. Therefore, online learning can be implemented as learning delivery for English as foreign language.
